Hey Ben, I am sorry to hear about the stress you are having. But maybe I can try to help you with this. Since you do not have a vehicle, you need to be compensated for one. Ussually the age to be able to rent a vehicle is anywhere from 21 tro 26 yrs old. When I was involved in my accident, I also did not meet the criteria for age. But one of the perks for being an assistant to the prosecutor, you know a lot of tricks. What you can do is call the other sids insurance company. The trick is, call them constantly! Talk to the rep, then work your way up the chain. Since the accident was not your fault, you must be compensated for your loss. If they still hassle you, then step @ is to ask the insurance company for whats called an Alternative for Pre Arraingments. Which mean you can ask your parent to sign the vehicle out as the main driver, but ave you down as secondary.( If you do rent out a vehicle, do not apply for extra insurance, that will not be covered under the controlled amount) The ussual allowance to rent a vehicle is about $23 dollars a day with tax. Most rental facilities will give a discount b/c of this. As for your vehicle to be fixed to your satisfaction. Once again, call the insurance company( other side), if you get tossed around, call your insurance company. It is your right as a policy holder to be given parts that are dealer approved. Not an R&R nor LKQ. If the wheels are all damaged and only one is to be fixed, it is the negligence of the other drive. The reason you get the vehicle fixed is to have it near 100% as it was before the accident.( note, if the other rims have damage prior to the accident, there isnt any recourse, but you may has then to chrome the rest for a discounted price, or to had it on to your deductible. Hope this helps and good luck ben.
